BIOGRAPHY

Cross-cultural life experiences in travelling, cooking, film & photography over 30 years has shaped Noel's humanist views. He believes in the goodness of people and in the beauty of our world's diversity.

Born and raised in Scotland, Noel moved to Hong Kong in 1993, leaving a career in fine dining, culinary craft to pursue his passion for film & photography. Learning film structure through non-linear editing, writing, directing and producing multiple commercials which opened doors into the world of documentary film & photography, leading onto personal projects, self-publishing & fine art photography exhibitions.

This varied career brought work with talented international crews around the world. Creating concepts and filming on-location in the most incredible landscapes. Hong Kong was his HQ, traveling throughout Asia, filming in Tokyo, Singapore, Malayasia and Macau, across the oceans to New York, Mexico & Genéva.

 

Documentary stories have taken him to Borneo, Kalimantan, Irian Jaya & Indonesia, Sri Lanka, Thailand, North & West throughout China and onto the Tibetan Plateau for his highest life experiences.
